OUR STORY

 

Tilla Accessories began its journey in 2017, when the owner, Ayla, decided to turn her dream of having her own jewelry business into reality. She named the company after her son, Atilla, who was four at the time.

Ayla graduated from the University of Virginia in 2003 with a degree in Anthropology. She has always been intrigued by how jewelry finds meaning  across different cultures and is always in search of authentic, unique and meaningful pieces. She draws inspiration from her Turkish heritage on her mother's side and her Norwegian ancestry from her father. 

Ayla travels to Turkiye every year with her son and together they travel all around the country to personally source beautiful jewelry from skilled artisans and build relationships.
